I was only in Wellington for a short stay but it quickly became one of my favorite cities. It is culture and laid back and also incredibly beautiful! On the water front with rocky hills all around. It's nice to take a walk down by the water and look back at the city as it rises into the hills.Recommended for:

Food, benches in the sunshine, and little shops to entertain the masses. This seems to be the hub of activity for Wellington - where workabees come on their lunch breaks, families come for togetherness time, and students come to study. It's the place to be on a warm spring or summer day.Recommended for:

Squarely on the beaten path, the Waterfront Walkway is nevertheless a must on a summer's day in Wellington. Strolling along the water and gazing at the ocean is best capped off by a visit to the wharf where you can witness the huge catches of the day.Recommended for:

Great place on a nice sunny day. You can rent bikes, roller blades or just walk around the waterfront. It's up to you. There is enough seating where you can just relax and if you want there is a supermarket near by where you could go and buy something or just choose something from at the waterfront.
