The food here is delicious, but unless you tell them you only have a limited time for lunch, expect lunch to be a leisurely affair. Which is a good thing, since the food tends to be hearty stuff. The fried chicken is a signature dish, and it has never failed to delight me, but I've not had a main here miss. Along with Willie Brown, I lament the loss of the deviled eggs, but there is enough to eat (and drink) here that they I don't find myself missing them too much.

Food Network star Tyler Florence's take on comfort food is a bustling success. This place is always full so make sure to make a reservation. I've been to Wayfare only for lunch and each time we'd order the devil eggs, Caesar salad, and FRIED CHICKEN. The raw bar is amazing! Love the Blue point oysters.
We've shared the baked Mac & Cheese - tasty but very rich. I recommend to share with dining companion.

I enjoyed my dining experience here- a very classy ambiance and delightful American fusion cuisine. Great burgers for those who like the classic take on burgers and fries were great.Recommended for:Foodies

Tyler Florence's Wayfare Tavern is beautiful, adorned with decor celebrating the history of San Francisco during the Gold Rush. Service was superb, as expected, and the food was really tasty. Note: I came here for a private event that let me take in the space, drinks and some small bites, so I cannot comment on the dining experience here.

My most favorite thing about Wayfare Tavern are their delicious, warm, eggy popovers. I never had them before I went to WT and now I can't get enough of them. A server brings them out to you fresh from the kitchen and you can have seconds, thirds, or fourths (if you're obsessed like me).
The food here can be a bit pricey, but if you choose wisely, you won't need to order a lot. The portions are a decent size and can be shared amongst friends so everyone can try everything. I recently came here for a 2nd time and was not disappointed by the food. I was just kind of sad that the octopus dish I ordered lacked octopus. There were more beans than anything so I was a bit sad.
The service is super friendly. I never felt like I wasn't good enough to dine there even though I wasn't as well-dressed as some of the other patrons. This place is great for a date night, girls' night out, or even a business date. It has a lot of interesting decorations and you always seem to discover new things every time you look around.
I've never driven here and have always walked so I can't really speak to the parking situation. However, seeing how it IS San Francisco, don't expect there to be gigantic free lots or anything. Just feed the meter and be on your merry way to those popovers!

Holiday dinner here with my gal pals and it didn't disappoint! The popovers were delish as a starter. Deviled eggs, tartare, and poutine for apps. Fried chicken, steak, pork, and grilled chicken for entrees. They even gave us brown bultter cookies for dessert :)
We left so stuffed after!! Definitely try this place out and order the fried chicken!

I seriously fantasize about this place when I work out; that's how good it is. All those push-ups will allow me to one day soon be able to stuff myself with the comforting goodness that comes from Wayfare Tavern's kitchen. I think about the juicy fried chicken, the roasted bone marrow and the ribeye. Somehow Tyler Florence makes all the complicated, creative component of the dish come together beautifully. I truly can't wait to send more people hear so I can leave vicariously.
