Every time I'm in Portland I make sure I go to Burgerville, often for my first meal. It's fresh beef with local Tillamook cheese. The milkshakes are the real thing and thick, and, if marionberries are in season, you can try the local treat. This burgerville is across the street from the Convention Center.

Less than two blocks from the Ginkgo House, some of the best and freshest oriental noodle dishes ever made-and it is in an old house. Featured by Guy Fieri on The Food Network's "Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives". Say hello to Frank when you're there.

A cider lover's must. Location is the site of both the cidery and tasting room. Always at least 6 Reverend Nat's ciders on tap (my favorite is the hopricot) and 2-3 guest beers for you non cider drinking friends. Limited seating available.

    Le Pigeon

    0.74 mi from Wendy's

We were actually able to get a table for two when we walked in one day, but it is highly recommended that you make reservations. Foie all the things. California put a ban, and so we fled to another state where serving foie isn't a problem. In fact, at Le Pigeon that one evening, they had foie in every course, ...

    Toro Bravo

    0.54 mi from Wendy's
    9 reviews

I am a little bit of a snob when it comes to Spanish style tapas, so take my review with a grain of salt (my friends all loved the food here). Toro Bravo is a buzzing restaurant and you are likely to incur an hour+ long wait on a weekend night. The interest in dining here definitely creates a strong ...

    Voodoo Doughnut, Too!

    0.8 mi from Wendy's

Voodoo Doughnut, Too is located away from central downtown Portland, but its allure of random flavored doughnuts, 24 hour availability, gritty decor, and blasting rock music remains upon entering the doughnut shop. Also, check out the random visual displays of Kenny Rogers and the instant photo machine!

    Doug Fir Restaurant

Modern meets old Denny's restaurant? This wild interpretation of a bar/restaurant/hotel is certainly unique. The nightlife is a great mix of young people. Great lounge area outside for those who want some fresh air alway from the spaceship looking inside. A must see purely for the decor and I heard the hotel leaves some interesting items on the nightstand. . ...

This is one of the best places to get casual Lebanese food in Portland (and lots of people know it, so go early or plan to wait). The food is better than average, especially the za'atar served with pita, the hummus, and the tabbouleh (heavy on the parsley), and the portions are HUGE.

The seven-year-old izakaya-esque Biwa may offer only a single ramen, but given the obsessive research chef John Moch put into it, it’s a must order: thin noodles, a lone egg, and chashu pork, floating in a rich bowl of a pork-and-chicken broth that takes 18 hours to create. Seasonal variations include a crab ramen in winter and ethically sourced duck ...

Trust the name. These sandwiches are ginormous! We had their go to dish with the fries and onions and melted cheese. We shared it between four people and it was definitely enough. But to be fair, we had Voodoo right before.

Another great Portland happy hour to check out! This place is right at a MAX stop for the green and yellow lines in the Chinatown area. They had a rather unique happy hour menu with options like duck wings and cauliflower tempura both of which I would recommend!
