Fantastic hotel in convenient location. Particularly loved the heated tiles in the bathroom!

The hotel has a convenient location and nicely furnished rooms. The staff was helpful and organized rental cars and taxis for us. The hotel itself, while very nice, was nothing special. The buffet breakfast, however, was awesome and made up for the lack of character.

Located right opposite the Cape Town International Convention Centre in the heart of the CBD, I feel that this big, corporate hotel is perfect for anyone on a business trip to the city, however the superb views and fantastic amenities will attract leisure guests too. The hotel has big, but pretty standard hotel style-rooms to choose from. If you get into The Westin Executive Club on the 19th floor hyou can enjoy fantastic views of the waterfront/ocean, the mountain, signal hill and the city. Breakfast is served here and there is a complimentary canapé hour from 5 – 7pm for selected guests - make sure you're on the list! There's also a great gym, lap pool, jacuzzi, spa and boardroom, all with an incredible view on the 19th floor. With friendly and efficient staff, I have no doubt you'll expereince convenience, class and luxury in one!

To me, the Westin Grand feels a little bit cold and distant. I am not sure whether that is because the modern architecture and smooth surfaces, because the hotel is so huge, or because of the many business people that were around when I stayed there. It seems the hotel caters for discerning business travelers and airlines crews. The fact the Cape Town Convention Centre is right next door, amplifies this. That does not make it a bad hotel. On the contrary. The rooms are great, the beds confortable and the service is fantastic. The best part is without a doubt the hotel's roof top spa and especially the Swedish sauna. From here, you have a bird’s eye view over the city center, working harbor, Atlantic Ocean and of course Table Mountain. All that whilst being naked or sparsely dressed. What ever you do when you sta here: don’t skip breakfast. The spread of all sorts of goodies goes on and on and on, from fresh fruit, breads, yogurts, rolls and cheeses to eggs, smoked salmon, and mouth watering croissants.

We had a great room looking up at Table Mountain. Use the gym, hot tub, and spa with incredible views! Breakfast in the top floor restaurant is a must as well, best spread I have ever experienced. Location is central but not walking to most activities.

The best thing is the rooftop spa, where you can moon the city from the sauna. ;)
Comfortably located in between the city center and the V&A Waterfront. Been here for business and leisure.
