Great location by the water in Toronto with great city views from the rooftop restaurant/bar. The rooms were large with huge comfortable beds. One of the better gyms I've seen in a hotel with a nice pool to boost.

Although there is currently a ton of construction in front of the hotel, the rooms were spacious and comfortable and the location was a short walk to the Metro Toronto Convention Center, St. Lawrence Market, and public transport options. There's a coffee bar selling Starbucks in the lobby and free computer and printer downstairs to print your boarding pass on the way to the airport. The concierge was also top knotch!

Located along the edge of Lake Ontario in the Harbourfront area of Toronto, Westin Harbour Castle is a classic big-name hotel with a ton of amenities and, though a little dated, a great ambiance. The lobby is fantastic looking and reminds me of an old Vegas convention centre/hotel lobby - tons of wood, dark beige and browns, gold coloured metal, and fuzzy carpeting - very warm and inviting!
The rooms are great - incredibly soft bedding, jacuzzi tubs, and much larger than comparably priced rooms at other hotel rooms in Toronto.
Where the hotel really wins me over is the overall feel of the place - I love getting lost in giant class hotels, and everywhere you wander in the Westin Harbour Castle is impressive - the meeting/ballrooms are HUGE and beautifully decorated, Toula lounge has incredible views, the pool is large & sunlit, and the lobby is great for people watching, particularly during a convention or corporate. The Westin is also in an amazing location if you are visiting in the summer, as there are always events and concerts going on nearby at the Harbourfront Centre. However, winter visits will be punishingly cold and windy!

One of the few Toronto hotels located right on the waterfront, The Westin Harbour Castle certainly has its location going for it, and is steps from the Toronto Island ferries and the cultural festivities of The Harbourfront Centre. Just be forewarned that in the winter, it can be co-o-old down here, due to the winds whipping off the lake. That having been said, this hotel is a huge, resort-like space with all the amenities you would expect to find in a hotel of its size. The lobby is big, shiny and business-y, with convention attendees milling about or talking numbers in various bar and lounge spaces. My room is spacious and neutral, with a firm and comfy bed, and the washroom is sparkly and clean, but the view - oh the view. This is what you pay for. The lake shimmers below me and every twenty minutes or so, a small plane swoops into the airport island, causing me to hold my breath. The pool is another huge draw, with soaring glass windows and the lack of shadows from downtown condos lets tons of light filter in. On the top floor is the famous revolving restaurant, Toula, with more sweeping views of the lake and the city, while a restaurant on the main floor, Mizzen, offers lighter mid-day fares. All in all it's a great place to spend a few days, although the lack of free Wi-fi is a bit of a disappointment.Recommended for:Business Travelers

This is one of the best hotels to stay at in downtown Toronto. The rooms are beautifully appointed, well-kept and with a south-facing room, you won't be disappointed by the magnificent view of Toronto's harbour. The staff are polite and very accommodating, and you can't help but feel rich staying in a place like this. Definitely worth the money - do be prepared to spend a significant amount to stay here.
