A must see. Go for lunch! There are restaurants, salad bars, beers on tap, and prepared foods, along with the groceries. If you have kids...there is a secret playscape with tables on the roof. Take the elevator up (its next to the restrooms).

The headquarter location offers something to drink or eat to suite anyones fancy and budget along with indoor and outdoor roof-top seating. Located downtown, it's a great place to refuel after an outing on the lake. Make sure to walk through the beer cooler to cool off fast on those hot days. In the winter, they put a ice rink on the roof!Recommended for:Family Travelers

Don't get me started. If you're a foodie, don't even think about not visiting the flagship store of this impressive foodie empire. Just blocks from their original store, it's got everything you need and -- word of caution -- way more that you didn't know you could do without, than you ever imagined. Best quick seafood in town: I recommend ANYthing they do with salmon. Also has several other interior bistros, including Italian, a very good wine bar that seems a social hotspot, huge selection of wines and beers. Largest food store you've been in, in a while unless you shop at WalMart. One word of caution: if you have an addictive personality type, DO NOT try the organic chocolgate truffles. Don't even think it. Dine inside or out. Deli is worth the trip. GO.

Solid as a rock! Thank you Whole Foods for all you've added to my cooking misadventures. While yes, I'd love to only buy local and from farmer's markets but sometimes I need a monster, giant of a reliable grocery store. This place is a wonderful, happy medium embodying both what a farmer's market can offer you with a huge array of organic goods plus the reliable nature of a large grocer.
It's the largest, most stocked Whole Foods I've ever gone too. They have a complete bakery, cafe, deli and florist, which not all locations have. It's all here plus a parking garage too, go, now!
The deli and coffee bar are very much worth going to, a nice option for picking up lunch at or for a quick dinner option.

Whole Foods is part of Austin culture. It's kind of like a healthy foodie's Nirvana. If you live here, it's a great place to have a meal that came from the right sources or shop a huge selection of health foods. If you are grocery shopping, prices are pretty steep, even in comparison to other local health food stores. Parking is a little bit inconvenient as it's typically necessary to park downstairs in the garage. I like to visit Whole Foods for healthy (or not so healthy!) ready-made food for a meal to take on the road, a quick bite to eat there or a sit down meal with a friend or date. The environment is super Austin and there are places to sit and eat or hang both inside and outside, with more outside seating on the roof. The ready-made food is super diverse - sushi, tacos, home cooked meats and sides, a HUGE salad bar, Indian and other ethnic cuisine, soups, pizza, ice cream, smoothies, baked goods and coffee. Yums!!

This is the largest Whole Foods in the country. Additionally, it is the largest grocery store I've ever seen, and it takes about an hour to weave through the entire building. It is AMAZING! My (now ex-)boyfriend and I are totally obsessed and spent hours in here. They have food counters throughout the store, including a raw vegan food bar, gelato, pizza, sandwiches, handcrafted chocolates, Texas BBQ, and a ton of other things. When I say "food counter," I mean it's a place with barstools and a place to eat. This location is the original, and it has everything you could ever want/need... including the regular hot food bars, salad bars, DESSERT bars, vegan bars... aughhhh! Head = spinning!
