    Hoek's Death Metal Pizza

0.98 mi from Whole Foods Market - Lamar
    3 reviews

The pizza was ok, but what really got me going was the different kind of metal music that was played here. They also had a band playing live metal music, I never experienced that before while eating a slice of pie :-).

    Starbucks

0.76 mi from Whole Foods Market - Lamar
    3 reviews

Downtown location has fast service, I think because they're used to being busy. No drive-through though so you gotta park first which will cost $ unless you find a 15min customer service spot. Very friendly staff. Limited seating but there are so many places to sit and work in the city it's not a big deal.

All I really have to say is AMAZING SERVICE! You guys had me completely drawn in from the valet service, to the seating, and than to my dining experience. Bar Congress

0.69 mi from Whole Foods Market - Lamar

While on the small side, bar congress has some of the best cocktails in Austin. My favorite being the Preferred Lies cocktail that is strong and flavorful. It is one of the most unique drinks they serve with an egg foam that they add to the top. The bar gets really busy- especially with an older, wealthier clientele. They also ...

Yes, get the chili. Get the XX if you like it hot. Get the XXX if you hate yourself. At this landmark on the Austin food scene, you're likely to sit alongside political operatives, politicians, reporters, long-time Austinites and tourists. Quinten Tarantino used it as a meeting place in Deathproof -- although it doesn't have the patio and parking lot ...

This was one of the first coffee shops that made me ask myself "Why didnt you come here to study more often." Way more then just coffee and tea. They have an entire menu of breakfast lunch and dinner...beer and wine too. Specially priced sangria during Saturday and Sunday brunch. Ive never tried their baked goods but they look scrumptious. Everything I've had here has been great. It's not the quietest coffee joint so I wouldn't recommend trying to work or study ...
