Wonderful concert venue in Mayfair near the Bond Street and Oxford Circus tube stations. We saw a wonderful performance there last night for Wolfgang Holzmair with piano accompaniment by Imogen Cooper. Schubert at his best. Great venue. The acoustics are excellent and the cellar bar is actually practically laid out with attentive service. Most people though stay in the lobby for ice cream during the interval, which is a kind of curious quirk of the place.

Beloved by musicians for its intimate feel and excellent acoustics, audiences love the Wigmore Hall's classic programming, giving your ears an up-close experience of some of Britain's best classical musicians. Grab a burger at uber-hip Meat Liquor nearby to experience a real contrast of contemporary and classic London aesthetics.

Classical music venue with excellent programming, central location. One of London's classics. The crowd was, well, experienced when I was there, but the music was majestic whatever your age.
