This is a great old city capital with some rich and deep history that surrounds the allure of come and explores me. With all of its great shopping on the outskirts, to all the chain hotels and restaurants that align the main street area of the city. You can save some money by commuting in from outside of Williamsburg’s by as much at 10 to 20% just do some checking on hotel rates.Recommended for

Williamsburg is much more than the Colonial section--it's a city complete with big box stores and tens of dozens of Colonial-themed eateries alongside the usual fast-food joints.

My grandmother lives in Williamsburg and I went to college there, so I'm pretty familiar with it. There's plenty of historical sites in Colonial Williamsburg, loads of restaurants (though largely chains), and other stuff to do like Busch Gardens. It's very heavily touristed. The summers are pretty awful in terms of heat and humidity. But I like it anyway.
