This is my favorite brunch spot in Chicago. A good mix of Southern-influenced options. The menu is massive so there is something for everyone. I could eat the corn cakes here all day. Expect to wait if you arrive after 10:30 or 11 on a weekend. Good news is that the tables turn pretty quickly.
The coffee here is TERRIBLE and they are very stubborn about not letting you bring in drinks from the outside (even if you agree to pay). Best bet is to opt for an Americano. I'm here at least once on every visit to the city.Recommended for:

Just about every time I'm in town, I end up eating at Wishbone. I'm getting hungry just thinking about the place. They serve up what they call, "Southern Reconstruction Cooking," but what most folks just call "darned good" southern-style comfort food. Try the corn cakes, and anything jambalaya. And I love the snarling poodle logo.Recommended for:
