Even the outside of this house will give you the creeps. Take a step inside and find out what went on back in time...and keep an eye out for the witches that supposedly still haunt it on a nightly basis.

The Witch House is a great place to visit if you're looking for historical remnants from the Salem witch trials. Tours include a comprehensive look at the architecture, furnishings, lifestyle and key players of 17th century Salem. Tickets for the tour (both group and self-guided) are sold at the museum gift shop - to get the full effect (and the most information) I highly recommend a group tour.

Description

The history behind the Salem Witch Trials is perhaps one of the most interesting stories in American history because the series of events are somewhat unbelievable. Today, very little remains of the period when the Witch Trials took place, but visitors do have the opportunity to visit The Witch House in Salem, Massachusetts, the only home associated with the trials. The 17th century building was ... read more
the home of Jonathan Corwin, the judge that presided over nineteen of the trials. Today, his home serves as a tourist attraction in which visitors can not only get a feel for the architecture and furnishings of the 17th century, but they can also gain a little insight on what it was like to live during such a trying time.
