In 1994 there were no wolves in the park. From 1995 they had been reintroduced in the park and now they are around 300. It's fantastic observing them playing, running , jumping. There many families of wolves in the park, occupying different parts of the park. Sometimes they fight againsrt each other.

Seeing wild wolves in the Lamar Valley for the first time was one of the highlights of my life. What an amazing experience! Dawn and dusk are typically the best times for spotting wolves. There is a group of very friendly regulars who are happy to help with tips.
