Came here with my (ex) boyfriend on a sunny Friday, around lunch time. The wait was about 15 minutes, but we were very willing to wait. We got seated, and the view was lovely. The only unfortunate part was being seated next to two obnoxious blondes that could not stop talking loudly about their love lives & sticking their tongues in guys throats... annoying!

Anyway, we decided to order the shrimp tacos & lobster tacos & then share them. I did not see anything too amazing about the meal, the flavors were a-okay, but nothing to die for.

I must say, I would love to come back here on a Tuesday for their taco deals, or try their cocktails (money was tight).. I would surely try something else here. Good ambiance, & nice view :)

Located right on the boardwalk in Mission Beach, World Famous is a great spot to have brunch or dinner with a view of the ocean. Prices are decent for the ambiance, and the food is very good. Loved their seafood pasta.

We love the Brie Cheese Mango Salsa appetizer. Great steaks and seafood overlooking the boardwalk, beach, and surf. Great Sunsets!

located on the boardwalk north of us and within walking distance, on the corner of the boardwalk and Pacific Beach Dr.. 858-272-3100 for reservations. worldfamous.signonsandiego.com/ Try the Nut Crusted Brie for an appetizer and then have some great fish or steak. We eat here almost every time we come to San Diego.

World Famous. A must go to restaurant would recommend for all ages. Must check out the happy hour deals on Mondays and Tuesdays (expect a wait) known for the shrimp tacos. They have a great selection of seafood

This is a great restaurant that is walking distance from our beach house. Great place to watch the sunset. Can get crowded. The nut crusted Brie appetizer is five stars. Since you are on vacation, go in the middle of the afternoon when there isn't a wait and have a glass of champagne and the nut crusted brie.

A local favorite...if you go on Monday night, stand in the bar line and get half priced apps and drinks...the app will fill you up. This place is a bit of a "dive" but the value is not in the interior design, but the amazing view - go for happy hour and watch the sun set from here...one of the best places in town to watch the sunset...maybe even see the elusive "green flash" from here! Be sure to order the chocolate lava bunt cake - it is warm, ooey and gooey and most delicious!

Excellent people watching for an ocean front breakfast or lunch. Dinner can be very busy but they have early bird specials in the bar.

Looking for a relaxing environment with nice view and reason price for a meal? World Famous is the place to be.

Scallop salad is fresh and refreshing. The scallop are perfectly cooked and goes well with the spinach. The dressing is a mix of olive oil, balsamic vinegar and lemon. I would ask for the dressing on the side though because they put a little too much on it for my taste.

The burger were also perfectly cooked medium. It's still juicy and not dry. The fries on the side were also seasoned well; not too salty which is always a +.

Tip: Call ahead if you have a big group. Took them 20 minutes to set up a table for 8.

We took my future in-laws here for dinner when they were visiting and even though it was 1.5 hours wait to get a table, it was the best meal they had during their trip. Now, they are coming back next month for our wedding and we're having our rehearsal dinner (with reservations) there!

Went for breakky, mimosas last time I was down in SD. It is also a great place to people watch! The food is quality and all around delicious American cuisine.

Make a day of it and take bikes down the beach on the trail and burn off your breakfast!

    First to Review

World Famous is located right in the heart of Pacific Beach, and has pretty good food all around. The real key to World Famous, however, is Taco Tuesday. Parking is a challenge and the wait can be long if you don't arrive early, but the $1.25 delicious shrimp tacos keep us coming back. No Taco Tuesday does it like World Famous, and you can wabble up to the PB bars after if you are feeling brave.
