Xel-Ha is all about water play in a park setting. Set on a huge natural inlet, activities include snorkeling, snuba, tubing, and interactive programs with dolphins, manatees and stingrays. The freestyle snorkeling also is great for children and beginner snorkelers--the water is calm and shallow and there are plenty of tropical fish darting about. Add to that a handful of ...

I was amazed how crisp and clean the water was in these cenotes! It was a bit scary at first to swim in a dark cave with bats flying around but I soon realized there was nothing to worry about. There weren't any scary creatures in the water and the bats didn't bother us at all.

This is a tricky review to write. The two hours we spent here were among the most amazing experiences we've ever had on a family vacation, but the owner does NOT want to make this a tourist attraction and has tried to discourage the TripAdvisor reviews that have been posted. She takes in only one small group or family PER ...

A gorgeous spot. This area of Mexico has developed rapidly since I first visited back in 1985. Despite the development, I still feel a sense of discovery when I set my eyes on Tulum. Amazing to have ruins so close to such beautiful water and the complex is quite small / manageable so you get a bit of history and ...

This park is a great intro to the underwater world of cenotes--an underground river system with caves flooded with cool and crystal clear water. Guided snorkeling and diving tours are offered throughout the day. Floating past huge stalagmites and stalactites and eyeless fish is an eerie, beautiful and unforgettable experience--I loved it. This park also was featured in a National ...

I discovered Chac Mool with Gary Walten in the 1990's. We explored this cave long before it became a tourist destination. It is a beautiful cenote, and the cool waters are great for a dip on a hot day.

Beautiful Yal-ku Lagoon is enclosed inlet that offers much sea life for viewing best via snorkelling. This inlet is connected to the ocean through an underwater river. There are bronze arts and beautiful landscaping throughout so for those non swimmers/snorkellings, this is also a wonderful garden to spend some quiet and relaxing time in.
