This impressive Mayan ruin is only a few miles away and your Mayan villa manager Leonardo will be happy to take you there for a wonderful experience. We suggest you visit the beautiful Lodge at Chaa Creek after visiting the ruins for wonderful lunch and visit to Chaa Creek's own museum and butterfly farm for a extraordinary afternoon.

If you only have one day to leave Placencia for a archaeological tour...this is it! Nice temple to climb, amazing vistas and history. Arrange a day tour with a Belizean Tour Guide in Placencia. Ask about the Butterful Farm as well is on the same route.Recommended for:

Lying just a few miles east of the Guatemalan border, this site was small for a mayan ruin since most of its still uncovered but breathtaking nonetheless. The main ruin is the one pictured. Once you climb up to the top of the main pyramid you get a fantastic birds eye view of the rest of landscape. The whole site can be visited in a few hours and I recommend doing this tour with something else during the day.
