Amazing Dim Sum right near my favorite hotel, The Palace. It's not as cheap as China Town, but they have wonderful food and the portions are plentiful. Try the dumplings and the chicken wrapped in foil. Love it!

I love this place! Very upscale compared to Chinatown dim sum places, but worth it! The food is amazing, atmosphere is very pleasant.

A proper dim sum place with surprisingly amazing xiao long bao (soup dumplings) and the best hot sauce in town. The restaurant is clean and service is fast. My go-to dim sum place in SF!

Popular with the business crowd, but not really walk-able from the convention center by convention standards. If you find yourself nearby and need a place to talk some shop with the kind of folk who will find it novel, give Yank Sing a go.

Yank Sing is the best dim sum experience I've had in awhile. While I think it's way too expensive, the food, service (service; let me say that again—FRIENDLY SERVICE—in a Chinese restaurant) and atmosphere are superb. I admire how they zip around, graciously moving out of the way of diners, while getting service commands from their bluetooth headsets. I was impressed. Equally impressive also was the fact that you could get specialities like Peking Duck and Shanghai Dumplings without a wait.

If I were rich, I would dine here all the time.

The dim sum here is great. Reminds me a bit of Hong Kong... besides the hefty price. Most of the dishes here are great. From traditional to the fancy, their dim sum provides satisfaction for everyone :)

I will say there are places in the Bay Area that are better for the value. If you're a big eater, just be careful. I've eaten light here for about $35 person and hit more than $80 per person when hungry and ordering a couple of their high-end items. The wife was not happy... not because of the price but because of my big belly at the end of the meal :)

Awesome dim sum. Just don't show up with an empty stomach or you might over-order at the start and miss out on some great stuff later on. Pace yourself. There are tons of choices and the carts keep on coming. The chicken and mushroom was incredible. Pricey but worth it, especially if you're on vacay. Treat yourself!

Although very overpriced (likely due to its lack of competition being the only solid dim sum joint in the South Beach, Embarcadero area, Finance District area), Yank Sing's food is very good and can go heads up with other dim sum places. Pro - Good food, clean restaurant...Con - $$$$

I love dimsum. Yank Sing is popular among the business crowd and travelers. I love the indoor waterfall and attentive hostesses & yummy plates. It is pricey, because you are paying for ambiance.

this is a good place to bring family and out of town visitors. unless you have a big piggy bank, it's difficult to justify going here regularly though since it's really expensive. that said, this is one of the cleanest dim sum places i've ever been too. good service. and you can make advance reservations. the shanghai dumplings are quite good. and everything else is excellent. was recently there for lunch and ordered: porridge, sticky rice, eggplant, crab claws, and tea. grand total... $40! doh. keep in mind, you can get twice the food at almost as good quality at the same price at Koi Palace. and this still isn't nearly as good as Din Tai Fung...
