    Old Faithful Inn Hotel

    Old Faithful Inn Hotel

    Class:
    9 reviews

A stunning wooden lodge-hotel just past its hundredth birthday, the Old Faithful Inn is predictably located beside the park's eponymous geyser. There's a broad selection of rooms available at the Inn, but it's worth visiting just to admire to wood-beam architecture of the 'Crow's Nest', and having a coffee in the morning on the deck with a field of geysers ...

    Grant Village Campground

    Grant Village Campground

    5 reviews

Grant Village is a large campground right on the massive Yellowstone lake. There are fewer trees, and thus, less privacy here. But the campground was clean, as were the bathrooms, you are near a little village with a gas station and a grocery store and a restaurant if you want to escape the camping experience. The nicest part was walking ...

It's ok if you don't prefer privacy. It's like camping in a dirt parking lot.

    Roosevelt Lodge Cabins

    Roosevelt Lodge Cabins

    Class:
    2 reviews

It is a very isolated lodge, maybe one of the closest to Lamar Valley. I like it because it is very quiet, far from crowded areas such as Old Faithful Inn or Lake yellowstone area. The cabins are really simple but clean and at night there is silence all around.

    Lake Yellowstone Hotel and Cabins

    Lake Yellowstone Hotel and Cabins

    Class:
    3 reviews

Very big lodge, maybe too much for my tastes. We slept in a nice and clean cabin close to the lake. For dinner we chose a restaurant close to the lake, just on the opposite side of the lodge. I didn't really feel like being in the nature, it was maybe too crowded area.

    Madison Campground

    Madison Campground

    2 reviews

Located in a pine forest. These are nice grounds but most sites are not that private. They sell firewood at the entrance, and have a little store where you can buy some beers and other essentials.

    Fishing Bridge RV Park

    Fishing Bridge RV Park

    1 review

This was a nice camping site. Shower facilities were clean, and campsite was reasonable. Grizzly bears are seen frequently in the area, so this is the place to be if you want to see wildlife. One word of caution. The mosquitoes at this campground are THICK in the late afternoon and evening. There were just swarms of them EVERYWHERE! We ...

    Norris Campground

    Norris Campground

    1 review

Quiet medium sized campground just up the road from the Norris Geyser Basin. Set in a fir and pine forest on a bluff above the winding Gibbon river is is scenic and peaceful and a bit away from the crowds so it is quiet at night. Still it is not too far away from Canyon or Old Faithful making it ...

    Slough Creek Campground

    1 review

Private, tiny campgound in the Lamar Valley. Great fishing and hiking nearby so it really popular and fills early. We saw a momma black bear and cubs just 200 yards away so bring the spray and plan on a clean camp!

    Tower Fall Campground

    Tower Fall Campground

    1 review

Convenient location because there is a general store right at the bottom of the hill, and you are very close to tower falls. Bears are often sighted in this area. No showers, and bring your own firewood, as there is not always some available.

Mammoth Hot Springs Hotel & Cabins

    Class:
    1 review

We usually blaze though Mammoth enroute to our favorite places but decided to come in the winter and explore. The hotel is open and convenient. We had to wait in our car for a herd of Bison to pass through the hotel grounds. The rooms were clean, large (given age of the building) and beds were comfortable. There is a lounge ...

    Indian Creek Campground

    1 review

Quiet grounds, more off the main loop than most other places, but not too much around it, so not the most strategic place to stay. Nice little river running along it, and close to Swan lake.

    Roosevelt Lodge

    1 review

I did not stay here, but there is an attached complex with a fair sized general store for camping gear, food, drinks (including booze and beers), plus they have gas and souvenirs. Good place for a pit stop.
