LA has an amazing Yoga culture - the teachers are top notch. This was my favorite studio when I lived in the area. Right near the beach, nice sunny studio and really good instruction for any level.Recommended for:

Actually, I am not sure why I cannot find NAAM Yoga for this review but I did find YogaWorks which is also quite a lovely place. The photo is from NAAM on Fourth Street in Santa Monica and it is a fantastic place; full of love and devotion for the spiritual path via disciplines which emcompass mudras, chanting and physical movement of yoga. And yes, Yogaworks is also a fully devoted to the practice yoga studio, and visits to both while in Santa Monica will surely help keep you balanced and centered while visiting our fair city.Recommended for:

YogaWorks is one of the large corporate yoga chains, and this studio was the first of many. Started as an Ashtanga studio (a very physical and self led practice), it has expanded to fit the needs of a larger audience. They offer ashtanga as well as vinyasa and hatha style classes. You will be able to find any kind of class here, as well as find great teachers like Kathryn Budig. However, you will not find a quaint friendly studio, but rather the looks of the studio featured in the youtube "hey yoga girl" video. Drop in classes can expensive, as YogaWorks is mostly membership based.Recommended for:
