Gorgeous views. Great hikes. Don't plan on staying in the park unless you book over a year in advance or stay at one of the very pricy hotels within the park. Plenty of hotels around the park if you book a few weeks in advance. I highly recommend this national park for everyone who visits California. Can't wait to come back..!!

Half dome, the waterfalls, El Capitan, Tuolumne meadows...this place defines grandour and beauty. Get some backcountry permits for free, and see the park with no one else around.

Hiked Half Dome. Scratching this one off my life's to do list. I lost a toe nail and will always remember that crazy vertical climb up with NO harness. You do some crazy shi* when you're young! LOL

I absolutely love Yosemite, there is so much to see, I spent about two weeks there and still didn't see everything, and if you are going there make sure you stay in the park, because the closest hotel to the park is about an hour away and you also have to pay the toll every time you renter, there is a buffet style restaurant where I recommend eating your breakfast and lunch, then for dinner I recommend going to some of the other restaurants and if you stay in the park you have access to the Olympic sized swimming pool which was nice to go in after a long day of hiking.

If you're like me you sometimes seek out the feeling of connection with the world. You know the feeling, when you're in an unfamiliar yet exciting place, look up and every glimpse takes away your breath. You feel so tiny, so irrelevant in the grand scheme of things yet you are so very apart of it in that moment. Whether of not nature is your thing, it's impossible to argue that Yosemite National Park isn't exquisitely beautiful.
If back country camping isn't your thing there are several car camping options. However, don't expect to feel the same solitary feeling that being in the woods with nothing but a backpack lends you.
Go to Yosemite to witness Mother Nature at her finest, and prepare to feel intertwined with the fauna. Just remember that thousands of others too seek out this feeling and your patience is sometimes required.

Yosemite National Park is a GREAT place to get away and be surrounded by nature. You can spend a couple days outdoors camping with family or friends. There are lots of hikes, including Half Dome, which is a little intense but so worth it!
