I went to El Pasaje Spanish School too and I couldn't agree more. I had the same feeling about people there being so authentic and welcoming and the classes didn't even feel like classes! I had so much fun and I learned so much. I just regret I couldn't stay longer.

Up the creaky stairs of an old building in Almagro lies a post-punk/neo-goth hall that hosts the largest beginner tango lesson in the city. Made up mostly of college-age tourists and local couples, the lesson often turns into a polite mosh pit of tango beginners accidentally running into each other and muttering "perdon." Once the lesson is over, the venue ...

In a few words, what I've liked the most about this language school is the straightforward website with clear prices. I hate when someone hides the prices or just don't show them on the website. Location is fantastic, 2 block away from the Pink House, Cathedral and Plaza de Mayo. I would like to say is that when I first ...

Academia Buenos Aires is the best Spanish language school in BA that I found. The prices are great, the staff and teachers are excellent and they offer a great program for individuals that want to enroll in classes by the week. I visited a few schools and I was most comfortable and impressed with this school. They also offer a ...

This is the newest part of the city. Definitely, a must see, but it always felt too "new" to me...almost sterile.

The Plaza de Mayo is the very heart and soul of Buenos Aires, and by extension, Argentina. Before independence this was a marketplace, and during the quest for independence, the renowned citizens (freedom fighters) of Buenos Aires met here to plot strategy. After Independence, this became the administrative and political center of Buenos Aires, where political rallies and citizen protests ...

The Obelisk monument is easy to spot when exiting any nearby metro station. Standing at the intersection of Corrientes and 9 de Julio, it's a national Historic Monument and one of the more touristy sights to check out when visiting Buenos Aires. It makes for a great photo backdrop when you get further down the avenues.
