YS Falls is a privately owned attraction on the South Coast of Jamaica. The drive takes about 1 hour 45 minutes from Negril since the roads are in pretty rough shape. Once at YS Falls, you will be taken up into the hills on a tractor pulled shuttle. At the base of the falls is a craft shop with a little counter for drinks and a few snacks. The only hot food they have here will be hot dogs. The main attraction is a cascading waterfall with rope swing. Just above that is the Zip Line tour that takes you on five runs and over the falls. Also a refreshing mineral pool is available for relaxing. It is very much a nature lovers area. Not a ton of stuff to do but it is well worth the trip. You can stop at Middle Quarters on the way back for fiery fresh peppered shrimps that are bagged and sold roadside. There is also a little fishing village where a stop is worth the excitement of rushing vendors to sell the local catch of snapper that has been cooked escoveitch style. Great trip to catch some "real" parts of Jamaica!
