Built in the 1930s for employees of motor car factory ZIL, this place is one of the great examples of the famous Russian constructivist architecture. It's also the oldest and biggest cultural centre in Moscow, often hosting exhibitions and free performances to the public. I saw a modern dance performance here in December 2012, which was very innovative: classical music with original choreography. Non-Russian speakers, be warned: nothing is in English, and most of the people who work here won't speak English, or will speak very little. Still, that's not much of a setback since the biggest attractions here are visual.
