Go. See. Do. This is where the Austin City Limits ("ACL") music fest is held every year. Also many soccer fields, home of "Blues on the Green" every Wednesday night in many spring and summer nights. It's where the Rolling Stones played when they last came to town. The hike and bike trail that leads there is seven-tenths of a mile from the Casita. Not sure why the bot chose this shot of Lady Bird Lake to represent Zilker Park, except that the Lake is the northern border of Zilker Park. Hello?

A little slice of heaven on earth. Huge, majestic and sprawling fields of greens, trees and hillsides. Nature is all around you. The beauty is almost overwhelming, specially for a city-born kid like myself. Almost takes all day to see all this park has to offer someone.
This place is perfect for all outdoor actives. Cute setting for a date too, if you're looking for a date idea that's outside the box. Go here now. Don't forget the sunblock and your adventurous side!

Zilker is Austin's Central Park - a hike and bike hub of shady trails, wide open fields and cool shady groves. Set along side the green waters of the Colorado River, a.k.a, Town Lake, this gi-normous park right in the middle of the city is a kid, and dog lovers delight. While there are no dogs allowed into Barton Springs, the heart of the park, kids are most welcome and canine friends can frolic in the waterfall just on the other side of the fence which is a free for all. The park's main artery, Barton Springs Road sports heaps of cool restaurants, bars and coffee shops to get ya refueled after a long day in the Zilker. Enjoy!
