    Gorges Lodge

    Gorges Lodge

    2 reviews

If you've ever wanted to go to Zimbabwe - this is the place to stay. You've got the Victoria Falls round the corner (or bend as we're talking rivers), a jawdropping location from which to view the Zambezi, and the chance to discover the bush with one of the most switched on, conservation minded safari outfits around. Gorges, and Imvelo’s ...

A great hotel within walking distance to the Falls. Rooms were quiet and very clean. The dinner buffet was very good. If you don't like game meat, you may want double check what type of meat you take to avoid surprises.

    Bumi Hills Safari Lodge

    Bumi Hills Safari Lodge

    1 review

Amazing place but this was 10 years ago, very Wild at Heart, frogs in the bathroom, snakes around the gardens, lizards on the wall. Safari guides were brilliant, knowledge, friendliness and patient.

    Nyamepi Campgrounds

    Nyamepi Campgrounds

    1 review

Some very cool campgrounds about 3-4 hours off the main highway on a bumpy dirt road. There are some great sites on the river, and hot showers, and fire pits for campers. The grounds are not fenced, so beware of the beasts.

    Ilala Lodge

    Ilala Lodge

    Class:
    1 review

Beautiful manicured surroundings and comfortable rooms await the tired traveler here. The Ilala Lodge is an oasis in the heart of Africa. The lodge is a short walk to Victoria Falls and the town center. The hotel staff is very accommodating and can arrange any excursion (i.e. white water rafting, hikes, helicopter rides etc) you desire.

    Twin River Inn

    Twin River Inn

    1 review

A fine place to rest for the night. There is the Dubble Puddle bar for a little entertainment, in a town where I think that is all there is in the way of entertainment. The staff is nice, the rooms are clean, and the food at the restaurant is decent. The breakfast is much better than the dinner fare.

    Packer's Paradise Lodge

    Packer's Paradise Lodge

    1 review

Very basic accommodation for the local market. This is the closest you can get to a backpacker's hostel in a town that really does not receive backpackers. There is enough space for 3-4 tents outside, but it is cold, loud, and there are ants. Inside there are a handful of private rooms and a big dorm outback. The service is ...

    Shoestrings Lodge

    Shoestrings Lodge

    1 review

Since it is only one of what seemed like two backpacker's accommodation options in town, it is a shame the place is so weird. It is the kind of place where one can have a myriad of experiences depending on who else is there. However the base crew of strange bar tenders like Leon the Lion, and local frequenters, means ...
