Ever since dining at Zuma for our first anniversary, my wife and I have made a point of making our anniversary dinner the most extravagent meal we eat each year.
While I was in Istanbul, writing for Time Out magazine, Istanbul won the Time Out Food and Drink Award for best new restaurant in 2008. Set right on the Bosphorus in the scenic Ortakoy neighborhood, Zuma serves Asian-fusion cuisine. Zuma makes the best sushi that we've had in Europe. We also indulged in the tiger prawn and one of the seafood hot pots.
It was an expensive meal but the service, setting and cuisine can't be beat.

Delicious japanese and fusion food. Zuma is just below the Bosphorus Bridge, so you can enjoy its lights that change colours. Very fancy and posh and also pricey, but it's worth it!

Classic Japanese comes Istanbul with this amazing waterfront location in a period building with views of the Ortakoy Mosque and Bosphorus Bridge. Less dressy than its London or Hong Kong branches but the food is just as superb. Try the beef carpaccio with miso and salmon tartare with sevruga caviar
