I needed a pedicure in the worst way. But after moving out to West Covina, and far from my usual place in the Santa Anita mall ( I miss you NailTrix) I have yet to find a place that I like so this was another one that I was trying out.
The place is decent sized, got quite a few foot soaking stations and the owner Tina was super nice. I went right at the right time and was able to "pick color" and sit down pretty immediately.
They clearly have a lot of regulars - there were a lot of joking with customers and buying of gift cards while I was there. Mostly young ladies, probably a lot of students from Cal State Fullerton, which is nearby. Definitely a friendly and homey vibe inside the store.
The girl doing my pedi asked me if I was from around there, you know the typical small talk questions. But like most places, they were trying to upsell me. Do you want callous removal (no), do you want a mani with your pedi (no) Oh you have such nice nails (yeah, I just paint them myself when I want to)
I must have really needed the foot massage because it felt so good.
I paid $19 since I got a flower on my toes which is extra but overall, it's still under $20. They do have a cc machine, but places like this I always bring cash to pay and to tip whenever possible.
