This cove was made infamous in the 60's in a movie with a kiss. Its actually a pretty small area and is located near a blow hole and directly next to the main road around the perimeter of the island.

In the movie "From Here to Eternity", this is the spot where Burt Lancaster and Deborah Kerr make out on the beach, hence the nickname for the beach is "From Here to Eternity" Beach. A short hike from the parking lot, It's a nice beach to play in. Be careful of strong tides and slippery cliffs.

"CHILD FRIENDLY" Tourists and vacationers come to this outlook for just the Halona Blowhole and are brought here by the bus load... Locals however, come here for Halona Cove (known as COCKROACH COVE) Tourist are not well aware of this beach and if they see it while here they don't seem to bother finding a way down to it to enjoy the actual beach cove. To reach the beach you need to walk along and up the street itself. You will see a rock stairway from there. When you get to this beach you will find very few people if any on it and the sweet part is if you walk to the end of the beach you will see a LAVA TUBE TUNNEL against the rock lava wall to your right and you can also jump into the cove water from the far right rocky side. Only the locals know how much of a GEM this beach is! Many Movies and music videos have been filmed on this FAMOUS BEACH! From the actual Cove below you can walk up to the Blowhole instead of seeing it with all the tourists from above...PLEASE NOTE! Depending on the time of year, making your way to the actual blowhole can be dangerous one if you don't know the area as locals do. Also if you do choose to venture down to the actual cove and make your way to the blowhole (hopefully on a calm day) NEVER GET CLOSER THEN 6-8 FEET FROM THE ACTUALL BLOWHOLE.Recommended for:Family Travelers
